I’m a freelance journalist, based in Athens, Greece. After working with foreign colleagues on topics related to the economic crisis in Greece and the EU, I decided to start this blog. It was born at the end of October 2011 and I did it for these reasons. Feel free to copy and redistribute, just don’t forget to attribute.

Thanks for reading and feel free to get in touch should you want to ask anything.

    Dear Kosta,
Just found your blog and couldn’t stop reading through.
As an expat in Greece for 6 years and taking this country as my second, and many times my first (!), I definitely share many of the views I read here.
Because I could not get a full grasp of the Greek language (still learning though) I am delighted you have chosen English so that everyone can access the opinions and views of many of the Greeks I know and I am proud to be friends with.
    Keep it coming!

    • Hello Pedro,

Thank you very much for your comment and for taking the time to read my blog. I’m glad the choice of writing in English makes such sense. Feel free to subscribe and get email alerts whenever there is a new post.

      Best, Kostas

Hello Kostas, someone pointed me to today’s entry and now I am reading back to previous entries. I visited Greece as a tourist in 2008 and saw some of what was developing but didn’t really understand what I was seeing. A lot of Americans don’t understand what’s going on there. I really appreciate your commentary.
